Jean Nichols

Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Nichols, age 77, of Springville, TN, will be Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Antioch United Methodist Church Rev. Paul McAdoo will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. with burial 3:00 P.M. Thursday at North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 78 Preacher Dowland Road, Kenton, (Gibson County), TN. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband L.C. Nichols. They were married on February 18, 1983. She is also survived by daughters; Glenda (John) King Temple, Trenton, TN, Carol (Scotty) King Hager, Dyersburg, TN, step-sons; Robert L. (Martha Carol) Nichols, Union City, TN, Ralph E. (Peggy) Nichols, Kenton, TN, brother; Wyatt (Judy) Buckingham, Cary, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four step- grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, six step- great- grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Mrs. Nichols is preceded by parents; Elijah Prince and Kathleen Lula Hicks Buckingham step daughter; Mary Eleanor Nichols, sister; Nancy Buckingham Hooker, brother; Harry Lee Buckingham. Mrs. Nichols was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church where she was active in the Outreach missions group. She had formerly worked as a sales person in ladies apparel shops.
