Mr. A.C. Dunkerson passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his residence. His graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Mark Weston will officiate and burial will follow. No visitation is scheduled prior to the graveside service.
A.C. Dunkerson was born March 24, 1928 in Salem, Arkansas to the late J.R. Dunkerson and the late Lottie Staples Dunkerson. On November 3, 1951 he married Sylvia Deckelman Dunkerson and she preceded him in death on May 21, 2016.
Mr. Dunkerson is survived by one son, Mike (Betty) Dunkerson of Paris, TN; one sister, Mary Day of Kansas City, KS; two grandchildren, Carly (Adam) Parke and Kelsey (Jeremy) Blanchard; and two great grandchildren, Millie Lane Parke and Maxwell Brendan Parke.
Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Dunkerson is also preceded by four sisters, Myrtle Ramsey, Johnnie Jackson, Gladys Evans, and Vada Cole; and one brother, Arby Dunkerson.
A.C. Dunkerson was a member of the Church of Christ. He retired as a postal service officer. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and his life was centered around his family, especially his grandchildren.
