Ada “Carolyn” Buie Ray, age 91, of Paris, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Henry County Hospital. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home, conducted by David Jackson and Josh Manning. Burial will follow services in Walker Cemetery and family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family is scheduled on Tuesday, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday, after 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Ada Carolyn Buie Ray was born December 14, 1934, in Nashville, TN. Her parents were the late Brandon Buie and the late Clyde Price Buie. She is survived by her daughters, Erin Caldwell, Brenda McFadden, Debbie (Martin) Hardwick, Sandra (Andy) Jackson, and Tammy Robinette, all of Paris; by her son, Billy Ray of Paris; by grandchildren, Libbie (Braden) McClain, Paxton Pierpoint, Emma Caldwell, Ricky Glisson, Pam Enoch, Kacie (Aaron) Hurst, Kye Norton, Ryan Tyler, Jon Tyler, Marie (Arthur) Minor, Brandon Ray; by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; by sisters-in-law, Peggy Buie and Ann Buie; and by several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Besides her parents, Carolyn is also preceded in death by her grandchildren, Bobby Bradley, Shannon Bradley, and Stephanie Glisson; and by her brothers, Paul Buie and Frank Buie.
Carolyn was a longtime member of East Wood Church of Christ. She was an LPN, working at Henry County Nursing Home for over 40 years. She enjoyed feeding birds and feeding neighborhood cats. Carolyn was an avid reader who dearly loved her family.
