Ada Ruth McCall Olive, age 91 of Sevierville, Tennessee formerly of Paris passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Chaffin of Johnson Chapel Methodist Church officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers and burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled after 11:00 A.M. on Thursday until time of service. Ada Olive was born on July 22, 1926 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Bruce McCall and the late Lucile Mitchum McCall. She married George Houston Olive on September 28, 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2006. Mrs. Olive is survived by her daughter: Joan Britton of Sevierville; son: George (Margarette) Olive of Hoschton, Georgia; son-in-law: Billy Ellis of Paris, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ada was also preceded in death by her daughter: Gail Ellis; daughter-in-law: Charlene Olive; son-in-law: David Britton; two sisters: Betty Janes and Lillian Orr; and brother: Albert McCall. Mrs. Olive became a Christian as a teenager attending the New Boston Baptist Church and became a longtime member of Johnson Chapel Methodist Church. She lived in the Central Point Community of Henry County for many years, worked at the Golden Peacock for twelve years, and Holley Carburetor for seventeen years.
