Alvin Harville, age 81, of Henry, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. His Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 26, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Jerry Fox to officiate. Burial will follow services in Palestine Cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with Alvin’s family is planned on Friday, after 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Alvin Harville was born May 2, 2026, in Montezuma, Tennessee, to the late John Harville and the late Inetha Unwin Harville. He married Barbara Ann Forrest Harville on April 29, 1967, and she preceded him in death on July 24, 2015. Alvin is survived in death by his grandchildren, Nikki Harville, Preston Harville, Christian Harville, Megan Harville, Vinson Harville, Christy Harville, and Lillyann Harville; great-grandchildren, Aiden Goines, Aaron Harville, and Aria Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Betty (Paul) Vawter, Brenda (Leroy) Haddock, Linda Harville, and Dreama Harville; brother-in-law, Rick (Karen) Forrest; nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Besides his wife and parents, Alvin is also preceded in death by his sons, Jean Paul Harville and Ian Harville; and by his brothers, Gerald Harville and Royce Harville.

Mr. Harville was a Christian by faith. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles. He was a gun enthusiast and worked as a heavy equipment operator, trucker, and diver. Alvin was known to be a “JACK OF ALL TRADES” who loved his family.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
