Ameldia Sue Jones, age 85 of Puryear, formerly of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at WTH Henry Co. Hospital. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Rev. Melissa Worthey of the First Presbyterian Church of Paris officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, prior to the service.

Ameldia Sue Jones was born on October 14, 1939, in Cleveland, TN, to the late William Howard and Mary Louise Gibson Jones.

Sue was active in the FCE Homemakers Club and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, TN. She was the Assistant Director of Nursing at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Cleveland, TN, and the Past President of the Tennessee Nursing Association and the Pilot Club in Cleveland, TN. She had numerous interests, including painting, arts & crafts, gardening, and travel.

Sue is survived by her sister, Lois (Bob) Smith of Puryear, TN, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, Sue was also preceded in death by her brother, R.H. Ballard.

Pallbearers for Ms. Jones will be Rob Easterday, Rob Ballard, Tyler Smith, Kyle Parrish, T.J. Nash, and Tanner Reese.
