Angela Lynn Claxton

Angela Lynn Claxton, age 49, of Buchanan, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on Friday, June 5, 2026. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 11, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Johnathan Smith to officiate. Burial will follow services in Price Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are John DeLuca, Greg Cunningham, Samuel Claxton, Lucas Claxton, Scott Dengler, and Zach Thrower.

Visitation with the family is planned on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and again on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until time of the service at McEvoy.

Angela Lynn Jennings Claxton was born on June 25, 1976, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey to Bonnie Dengler Huffman and David Jennings, both of Paris. She married Kenneth Claxton on December 22, 1997, and he survives in Buchanan. Angela is also survived by her sons, Gabriel Claxton of Buchanan, Samuel Claxton of Yuma, Arizona, and Lucas Claxton of Buchanan; step-daughter, Sandra Claxton (Trevor) Thomas of Wasilla, Alaska; sister, Carey (Kwame) Baylor of Texas, by longtime friend, Sara Spencer, other family members and special friends.

Angela is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Jennings, who passed away in 2007.

Mrs. Claxton was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She loved to ride and was very passionate about her horses. Angela’s world centered around her family and most especially her children.
