Ann May Stewart McKinney, age 84 passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at AHC of Paris. Her memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Jasper Bible Church in Jasper, Michigan with Pastor Daniel White to officiate. Burial will follow later in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Ann was born February 3, 1940 in Adrian to the late Elmer "Jack" Stewart and the late Mildred Baumea Stewart. She married Mervin McKinney on August 22, 1961 in Washington, DC and he preceded her in death March 17, 2020. Ann is survived by brother, Raymond Stewart and foster brother, Jerry Fox, both of Adrian; also by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. McKinney is also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Stewart; a nephew, Daniel Stewart; and a great nephew, Shaun McLemore. During high school Ann worked as an usher at Croswell Theater. After graduating from Adrian High School she was employed by General Telephone Company. She attended Jackson Community College, then Naval School of Aeronautics in Kansas City, which led her to work in the Navy Division of Aeronautics in Washington, DC. Returning to Michigan, she spent 30 years as a customer accounts coordinator in Aeroquip Corporation, Aerospace Division in Jackson. Ann was known for her warm smile, infectious laughter and amazing sense of humor. She radiated the "joy of the Lord" and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Jackson.
