Annie Carnell Lowry, 96, of Paris, TN died Monday, August 16 at her home in Paris at Morningside Assisted Living. Born March 16, 1925, in Henry County, TN to the late Marion Albritton Buckley and Shellie Stephens Buckley, she was married on July 18, 1945, to the late George Green Lowry who died February 3, 1992. Mrs. Lowry is survived by one daughter, Anita Carol Webster of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Kenneth (Jennifer) Lowry of Cary, NC; two grandsons, Don (Paula) Zuccaro and Steve (Emily) Zuccaro of MI; and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Robbie Buckley of Paris, TN and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband George, she was preceded in death by one brother, James F. Buckley, and two sisters, Dollie Paschall and Elna Raye Buckley. Mrs. Lowry graduated from Puryear High School in 1943. She and George lived in Michigan for many years before moving back to Henry County in 1974. She was employed at Jim Adams IGA as a professional cake decorator. While her health permitted, she was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed domestic and international travel. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, sending cards, and putting together puzzles. Mrs. Lowry was a longtime member of the East Wood St. Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 20 at 2 pm at McEvoy Chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A visitation will be held prior to the service from noon until 2 pm. In addition, a visitation will be at the McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington St. Paris, TN 38242 on Thursday, August 19 from 4 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc., P.O.
