Mrs. Barbara Boyd Crocker, age 83 of Gallatin, Tenn. formerly of Buchanan, Tenn. passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center in Clarksville, Tenn. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, Tenn. with Bro. Phillip Boyd of Paris Community of Christ officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 PM Thursday prior to the service. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Barbara Boyd Crocker was born February 28, 1933 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Clouis Lee Boyd and the late Audie Blondie Roberts Boyd. On October 26, 1957 she married Robert "Bob" Crocker, who survives in Gallatin, TN. She is also survived by one sister, Eva Dinwiddie of Mt. Juliet; one brother Edgar Boyd of Mt. Juliet; one brother-in-law, Harry E. Crocker of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Robert Neyland (Anna) Crocker of Gallatin and Kellye (Pharris) Garcia of Midland, Texas; four great grandchildren, Madelynn, Austin, and Mollie Crocker and Asher Garcia; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Besides her parents, Barbara is also preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bobby" Crocker, Jr. who passed away on February 14, 2011; two sisters, Pauline Dolan and Mamie Crouch; and three brothers, Rowland Boyd, Frank Boyd, and Fonnie Boyd. Barbara Crocker was a graduate of Grove High School in Paris, Tenn., class of 1952. After Graduation she went to work for the Golden Peacock cosmetic company as a secretary. She later co-owned Shamrock Resort with her husband Robert, until the business sold in 2005. Barbara was very active in promoting tourism for the resort, the county, and the state of Tennessee.
