Funeral Service for Mr. Snider will be Thursday 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Paris with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 until 8:00 at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 10:00 Thursday until service time at First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Reid Snider, Paris, daughters; Jane (Dr. James) Robertson, Paris, Ann (Terry) Carter, Paris, grandchildren; Brian (Jessica) Robertson, Nashville, David (Elizabeth) Robertson, Nashville, Terri (Aaron) Fisher, Knoxville, Paula (Jonathan) Bell, Memphis, six great- grandchildren; Abby , Mareyn, Celia and Danielle Robertson and Lauren and Matthew Fisher.
Preceded by his parents; James Burl and Dall Mae Rushing Snider.
Mr. Snider was a member of the First United Methodist Church, an Army Veteran of WWII serving in Africa and Italy,member of the Lions Club, graduate of Bethel College, receiving his MA at George Peabody College and continued his studies at University of Memphis. He was an educator having served as a teacher, principal and superintendent, upon retirement from the Alamo City and Crockett County School System, he moved to Henry County in 1980.
