Bennie B. Camper

Bennie Camper, age 79 of Puryear, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Town Square Care of Puryear. His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens to officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers and burial will follow the service in Puryear City Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Camper is scheduled on Wednesday after 12:00 P.M. until time of service. Bennie B. Camper was born March 3, 1944 in Ridgely, Tennessee to the late Ernest Camper and the late Ruby Johnson Camper. He is survived by his sister, Judy Lessard of Puryear along with numerous other family members. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters, Jean Hollis, Jo Olsen, Dorothy Williams, and Wilma Lepiscopo; and by brothers, Jerry "Mackie" Camper and Fred Thomas Camper. Mr. Camper was a Baptist by faith. He loved working on cars, trucks and small engines. Bennie also enjoyed mowing the yard and was widely known and loved for miles around.
