Bernard C. "Buddy" Bunt, Jr., age 69, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at his residence. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Bernard Bunt, Jr. was born in June 23, 1949 in Cooperstown, New York to the late Bernard C. Bunt, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Ann Schweitzer. He married Laura Lynn Shockley Bunt on April 6, 1974 and she survives in Paris. Buddy is also survived by his daughters: Keely (Russell) Barnes of Springville, Tennessee and Jessica (Raymond Russell) Bunt of Oneonta, New York; his sister: Susan (Chuck) Hascup of Hartwick, New York; brother: Michael (Cindy) Bunt of Northport, Florida; sister-in-law: Janet Bunt of Oneonta, New York; and numerous other family members. Besides his parents, Buddy is also preceded in death by a brother: Ozzie Bunt. Buddy was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was an avid golfer and also served on the Kinney Memorial Library board of directors. Buddy enjoyed people and loved to talk.
