Bernice Bradley

Bernice Bradford Bradley, age 96, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Henry County Health and Rehab. Her funeral service will be held at McEvoy Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10 AM, conducted by Blake Stewart of Whitlock Church of Christ. Burial will follow services in Walker Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is planned on Tuesday, from 4 until 7 PM and again on Wednesday, after 9 AM until the time of service at 10 AM.

Bernice was born February 12, 1930, in the Old 23rd District to the late William Bradford and the late Altie Cathy Bradford. She married L.L. “Red” Bradley on November 20, 1948, and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1999. Bernice is survived by her sons, Lindwell (Shirley) Bradley of Panama City, Florida and Wesley Bradley of Cottage Grove; sister, Vivian Grooms of Knoxville; grandchildren, Leslie McKee (Eric) of Athens, Alabama and Angela Bradley-Roed (Adam) of Panama City; great-grandchildren, Christian Chandler, Clark McKee and Audrey McKee; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Mrs. Bradley is preceded in death by her brother, Linderwell Bradford.

Bernice was a longtime member of the Whitlock Church of Christ. She worked for the University of Tennessee Nutrition Program. She enjoyed visiting and serving others, was involved with her family’s activities, and with many community events. She was known to be a great cook who dearly loved her family.
