Bertha Kauffman Byler, age 53, of Paris, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Bethel Fellowship Mennonite Church, 1286 Midway Road, Paris, TN 38242 with Pastor Junior Bender to officiate. Burial will follow the service in Bethel Fellowship Mennonite Church Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Lavon Yoder, James Wengerd, Marlin Byler, Steven Kauffman, Nelson Beachy, and Melvin Kauffman. Visitation is scheduled at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Byler was born August 23, 1965 in Stanton, Virginia to the late Fred Allen Kauffman and the late Eliza Mae Nissley Kauffman. She married Nathan Byler on October 30, 1991 and he survives in Paris. She is also survived by her daughters, Cheryl Elaine Byler, Bethany Joy Byler, and Katie Rose Byler, all of Paris; sons, Justin Owen (Melissa Joy) Byler, Marcus Nathan (Rachel Joy) Byler, Keith Eugene Byler, and David Lavern Byler, all of Paris; sisters, Saloma (Junior) Beachy of Stanton, Virginia, Rachel Kauffman of Cottage Grove, and Edith (Kenneth) King of Cottage Grove; brothers, Eli (Rosie) Kauffman of Hartselle, Alabama, David (Anna Mary) Kauffman of Lott, Texas, Paul (Carol) Kauffman of Sebree, Kentucky, Isaac (Dazeena) Kauffman of Dover, Delaware, Richard (Laura) Kauffman, Alpha (Esther) Kauffman, Owen (Delores) Kauffman, all of Lott, Texas, Ray (Iretta) Kauffman of Whiteville, Tennessee, and Earl (Angie) Kauffman of Stanton, Virginia.
