Born in Erin, TN to the late Thomas J. Ross, Sr. and Estelle Claxton Ross, she was married to James "Harvey" Derrington September 19, 1945, he preceded April 16, 2003. Survived by a daughter: Evelyn (Mike) Kennedy, Paris; son: James H. "Jim" (Diana) Derrington, Jr., Hornbeak; sisters: Mildred Parker, Mobile, AL, Wanda (Eddie) Robinson, Chickasaw, AL, Eloise (Robert) Salisbury, Paducah, Ky; grandchildren: seven; great-grandchildren: seven; special niece: Michele Harman, Sesser, IL; special friends: Janice Matheny and Sarah Starnes. Preceded by a son: Earl Derrington, January 1, 1999; sisters: Margaret Wilkes, Hassie McClure, Elizabeth Zimmer; brothers: Thomas J. Ross, Sr., Herbert Ross and Richard Ross. Betty was a member of West Paris Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, was very active at the Senior Citizen Center and loved to travel. She delighted in time spent with grandchildren Christy and Jennifer Thompson and especially with her smallest great-grandchild, Cylie Parrish.
