Funeral service 1:00PM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor C.E. Pipkin, Mt. Ararat Baptist Church of Trezevant. Named as pallbearers are Ricky Williams, Dennis Bord, Michael Williams, Carl Williams, Jeffery Dumas and Archie Russell. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Friday. She was born in Paris to the late J.D. and Elizabeth Ann Tharpe Williams. On October 8, 1984 she married John S. Howard, he survives in Trezevant. Survived by daughters: Beverly (Alvin) Newsom, Nashville, Deborah (Byron Roberson) Franklin, Atlanta, GA, Pamela (Randall Pritchard) Hudson, Paris; sisters: Sheila (Larry Howard) Williams, Paris, Peggy Sims, Paris, Shirley Moore, Nashville; brothers: Ricky Williams, Michael Williams, Billy Williams and James Williams all of Paris; grandchildren: Ashley Long, Alvin Newson, Jr., Alvin Newson, III, Savion Hudson, Jaylen Hudson, Courtney Webb, Dion Franklin, Phyllis Franklin, Demarcus Pritchard; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Preceded by a son: Justin Howard. Betty was a proud member of Mt. Ararat Baptist church in Trezevant. She loved life and was a happy person.
