Mrs. Betty Lanius, age 93, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at her residence. Her graveside funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Olive Branch Cemetery with Bro. John Sutton officiating. Burial will follow the service; family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Betty Lou Howard Lanius was born July 28, 1930 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Shelby Luther Howard and the late Lorene Biggers Howard. She married James L. Lanius, October 22, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 2001. Betty is survived by her son, Mike and Lisa Lanius of Cottage Grove; grandson, James Michael (Jessica) Lanius of Hernando, Mississippi; great grandchildren, Sierra, Troy and Brandon Lanius; four great great grandchildren; also by other family members and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Betty is also preceded by her precious pet and constant companion, Opie. Mrs. Lanius was a Baptist by faith who loved her family dearly.
