Betty Lou Medlock Smith, age 87 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Hospice Unit in Somerset, Kentucky. Her graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Steve Gallimore of Tennessee Valley Community Church and Kevin Gallimore of Birds Creek Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow and no visitation is scheduled prior to the graveside service. Betty Lou Medlock Smith was born September 20, 1933 in Springville, Tennessee to the late Milton Medlock and the late Pauline Maddox Medlock. On July 22, 1968 she married Billy Ray Smith and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2010. Ms. Betty was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church. She worked in a factory and also was a salesperson for Howard & Jobe Dress Shop and Hallmark Card Shop. Betty is survived by her son, Ronald (Elaine) Rowlett of Somerset, KY; two sisters: Clara Dowdy and Jean (John) Oliver, both of Paris; brother, Dwayne (Madell) Medlock of Springville, TN; two grandchildren: Megan (Ross) Denbow and Molly (Jonathan) Tosh; one great grandchild, Peter Jackson Denbow; two nieces: Clara Williams and Lily Medlock; nephew, Mike Perry; and ex daughter-in-law, Janie Rowlett. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Johnson; a brother, Paul Medlock; a niece, Paula Hudson; and an uncle, Curtis Maddox. Pallbearers for Ms. Smith will be Mike Williams, Ben Perry, John Oliver, Bill Weatherington, Ross Denbow, and Jonathan Tosh. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Perry and Ralph Anderson.
