Mr. Billy E. Archie age 77, of Puryear, TN passed away August 15, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held at McEvoy Funeral Home 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Carlton Gerrell of TVCC will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden. Visitation for Mr. Archie will be Monday 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM and after 10:00 AM Tuesday. Pallbearers are his former co-workers; Chuck Elizondo, Mike Lanius, Tony Elkins, John Brewer, Tony Hutcherson, and Tom Lankford. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Archie was born February 22, 1938 in Tiptonville, Tenn. to the late W.C. Archie and Beauton Brewer Insco. He is preceded by his wife Joyce A. Morgan Archie. They married July 20, 1962, she passed away February 27, 1991. Mr. Archie is survived by sons; David (Vickie) Archie of Paris, TN; Donnie (fiance Lorraine Cooper) Archie of Puryear, TN; step-sister; Davie Carroll Deckard of White House, TN; brother; Bobby Joe Archie of California; five grandchildren; Jeff (Stephanie) Archie, Chris Archie, William (Ashley) Archie, Cody (Kayla) Archie, Bethani(Michael) Ragan and Mindy Barrows; six great-grandchildren; Brock, Carter and Lillie Archie, Keagan Archie, Maci Mae Archie, and Adelyn Ragan. Preceded by a sister: Ann Archie, March 11, 2015. Mr. Archie retired from the Paris Police Force after 20 years of service. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy. Memorials may be made to: F.O.P.
