Billy Dale Hicks, age 78 of Mansfield, TN passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at his residence. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 2nd at McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington St. in Paris with Randy Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mansfield. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00-2:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the 2:00 PM service. Matthew Allen, Devan Barnett, Jake Davis, and Dillon Davis will serve as pallbearers. Billy Dale Hicks was born June 13, 1944, in Mansfield, TN to the late Thelan Elbert Hicks and the late Mary Elizabeth Ford Hicks. On June 16, 1976, he married Mary Beth Andrews Allen Hicks and she survives in Mansfield. Billy Dale Hicks was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from the Henry Co. Sheriff's Department after over 20 years of service. Prior to the sheriff's department, Billy Dale worked at Celotex as an electrician. He loved his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Billy Dale is also survived by his daughter, Barbara Anne Hicks of Nashville; his son, Matthew Lynn Allen of Mansfield; and three grandchildren: Alaina Barnett, Devan Barnett, and Jackson Allen. Besides his parents, Billy Dale was also preceded in death by his sister, Willene Berkley.
