Funeral service 11:00AM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. P.J. Scott of New Harmony Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Hansel Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Ray Anderson, Crockett Mathis, Larry French, Harold Waddy, Larry Thurman and Harold Phifer, friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Wednesday and after 10:00AM Thursday. He was born in Paris to the late Frank Thomas and Elizabeth Avenelle Underwood Lacy. On January 1, 1982 he married Roezona Landers Lacy, she survives in Paris. Survived by a daughter: Valerie (Greg) Godbott, Paris; sons: Ken (Carol Pinson) Lacy, Paris, Tim (Mary Lynn) Lacy, Puryear; sister: Betty Stubblefield (Bennie) Akers, Paris; grandchildren: Amber Leanne Lacy, James Lacy, Kaylynn Lacy, Nathaniel Godbott, Jeremiah Godbott, Ashlee Godbott, Roezona Godbott; great-grandchildren: Ashlyn Aaron, Kane Price , a niece, nephew and several cousins. Preceded by a brother: N. Duane Lacy, July 9, 2003. Mr. Lacy was was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. He was a machinist, worked and retired from Midland Brake with over 30 years of service. Billy was a graduate of Grove High School, was Sgt. First Class in the TN Army National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Attended Henry County High football games and loved animals.
