Mr. Billy W. Pool, age 80 of Buchanan, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his residence. His funeral service will be held graveside Friday, May 31, 2024 at New Liberty Cemetery at 12:30 P.M. and conducted by Robert McBroom of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and burial will follow services. Visitation is scheduled on Friday, after 11:00 A.M. at McEvoy Funeral Home until time to leave for the graveside service. Billy Wayne Pool was born August 26, 1943 in Covington, Tennessee to the late Montel Pool and the late Mamie Hodges Pool. He married Peggy Marbury Pool on October 7, 1967 and she survives in Buchanan. He is also survived by daughters, Debbie and husband John Belcher of Buchanan and Rhonda Sue Burns of Atoka, Tennessee; by grandchildren, Amy Mancell, Christinia Halleron, Anthony Belcher, Ashley Fish, Alyssa Belcher, and Alivia Belcher; by ten great grandchildren; and by his brother, Larry Pool and wife Sherry of Buchanan. Besides his parents, Billy is also preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Drawdy and by six brothers and sisters. Mr. Pool was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who was an over the road truckdriver for 40 plus years. Billy was an avid hunter and fisherman who dearly loved his family and most especially his grandchildren and also his dog, Josie.
