Bobbie Jean Freeland, age 83 of Paris passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Plumley Rehab Center. Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Wimberley officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2019 and after 9:00 AM Wednesday until service time. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jeremiah Marr, Derek Carter, William Freeland, Weston Freeland, Carter Allison, Walker Freeland, Madden Allison, and Walter Kilpatrick. Honorary pallbearers: Kaylee Marr, Braden Carter, Livia Carter, Knox Allison, Cooper Carter, Wade Allison, Jake Fowler, and Jeremy Hunter. Bobbie Jean Freeland was born December 24, 1935 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Clarence Alexander Bell and the late Mary Marshall Phelps Bell. On April 28, 1962 she married Clyde David Freeland and he survives in Paris, TN. She is also survived by one daughter, Sheri (Jerry) Carter of Mansfield, TN; one son, Jonathan (Nelda) Freeland of Ft. Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren: Jeremiah (Starr) Marr, Derek (Paige) Carter, Katelynn (Jake) Allison, Rachel (Mike) Smith, William Freeland, Weston Freeland, and Walker Freeland; and numerous great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Freeland was also preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Neese; and a brother, Sonny Bell. Mrs. Freeland was an active member of her community and the Baptist Church and she was very helpful in organizing the Camp Tyson reunions.
