Bobby J. Collins, age 94 of Paris passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be at First Christian Church in Paris at 2:30 pm on Monday, July 8, 2024, with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Caren Teichmann of First Christian Church will officiate and visitation with the family will be from 12:30-2:30 pm, before the service on Monday, July 8th at the church. Pallbearers for Mr. Collins will be David Collins, Jarrod Collins, Grant Wise, Mark Dickson, Chuck McFall, and Louis Caldwell. Bobby J. Collins was born September 13, 1929, in Murray, KY to the late William Henry and Posie Lawson Collins. He married Margaret Anne Caldwell Collins on March 18, 1951, and she preceded him in death on May 29, 1997. Bob graduated from Grove H.S. and Vanderbilt University and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of First Christian Church in Paris serving as Elder, Administrative Board, Stewardship Chairman, and Financial Secretary. He worked at Mitchum Co. for 6 years, Standard Oil Co. for 10 years, Commercial Bank for 19 years, E.W. Grove & Henry County High School Trust Fund Trustee & Treasurer and was Co-owner of Howard & Jobe for 13 years, with his wife. Mr. Collins is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Mark) Dickson of The Villages, FL; son Dan (Jeanette) Collins of Paris; grandchildren: Jarrod (Taylor) Collins, Jennifer (Aaron) Aramayo, Collin (Alyssa) Wise, Grant Wise, and Laura Grace Wise; great-grandchildren: Luca, Alessio, and Enzo; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Bob was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Eugene Collins.
