Ms. Bonnie Louise Shannon, age 72 of Murray, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray. Her body is to be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Bonnie Shannon was born August 22, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Clarence Edward Hixson and the late Julie Stubbfield Hixson. She was formerly married to William Shannon and he preceded her in death in 1999. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Shannon (Linoel House) of Paris; sons, William (Melissa) Shannon and Anthony (Malery) Shannon all of Murray; sister, Mary Smith of Kankakee, Illinois; brothers, Edward C. (Sharon) Hixson of Puryear and Alvin Lewis ("G.G." Genesse) Hixson of Paris; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and former husband, Bonnie is also preceded by her daughter, Tina Shannon. Ms. Shannon was a Baptist by faith. She formerly was owner and operator of her own ceramics business. Bonnie will be greatly missed but is now reunited with her husband William.
