Funeral service 1:00PM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Gary Collier and Bro. Randy Stephens of Sulphur Well Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery with her family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation 4:30 - 7:30PM Thursday and after 12:00PM Friday. She was born in Mayfield, KY to William "Warren" Brown, Springville, TN and the late Nellie "Coe" Bishop Brown. Survived by an uncle: Paul R. (Julia) Brown, Springville; cousin: Nathaniel Brown, Cookeville; great aunt: Lois Brown, Paris; special friends: Norma Steele, Paris, Sylvia Reasons, Springville, Judy Shanley, Buffalo, NY and Valerie Sharp, Buffalo, NY. Preceded by a brother: Bradley Warren Brown, July 8, 2010; grandparents: William Broughton Brown, Rose Oliver Brown, William P. Bishop and Chloe Shealy Bishop; great aunts: Laverne Hill, Vola Ree Clendenin and Mary Ruth Throgmorton. Brenda graduated from St. Mary's School for the the Deaf in Buffalo, NY and worked for Southeast Works in Depew, NY. while Brenda lived with severe hearing and speech difficulty, she always approached life with a positive upbeat non-defeatist attitude. Most significantly she battled pancreatic cancer for the last year, during which time she taught her family and friends what is important in life.
