Brenda Joyce Magee, age 76 of Paris, TN passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her funeral service will be Friday, December 16th at 2:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington Street in Paris, with Buddy Morris of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at McEvoy Funeral Home after 11:00 AM Friday, prior to the service at 2:00. Pallbearers for Ms. Magee will be Robert Hampton, Robin Hampton, Ben Taylor, Dustin Morris, and David Barnes. Brenda Joyce Magee was born August 6, 1946, in Paris, TN to the late Russell Mathenie and the late Maudean Wilkinson Mathenie. On February 25, 1986, she married William "Bill" Magee and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2015. Brenda was a Christian who loved to read and paint. She loved to fish and was a pet lover, but most of all she loved her family. Brenda Magee is survived by a daughter, Felicia Harguess (Vince Simkins) of Willcox, AZ; two sons: Robert (Molly) Hampton of Prairie du Sac, WI and Robin (Christine) Hampton of Oregon, WI; three grandchildren: Jay Mischa Hardage, Derrick Harguess, and Jared Hampton; two great-grandchildren: Abby Harguess and Dominick Harguess; brother, Russell Mathenie of Paris, TN; sister-in-law, Chong OK "Mona" Gwinn of Paris, TN; and several nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Brenda was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth E. Gwinn in 2006. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Sheriffs Department's Animal Shelter, P.O.
