Visitation 4:00 - 7:00 PM Saturday and after 12:00 PM Sunday. Born in Gleason, TN to the late Henry W. and Mattie Vaughn Owen. On July 24, 1967 he married Betty Jackson Owen, she survives, Paris, TN. Survived by a daughter: Kelly Owen (Philip) Makes, New York City; sisters-in-law: Joy Greengrass and Charlotte Jackson both of Buchanan, Dene Bennett, Como, TN, Ludene Owen, Paris; brothers: Gordon Owen, Paris, James (Neva) Owen, Lansing, MI; brother-in-law: Guy Wiggins (Liz) Jackson, Macon, GA. Preceded by sisters: Geneva McClure, Naomi Woodard, Marjorie Heath, Sarah McGuire, Joyce Morris; sister-in-law: Delores Allen; brother: Harold Owen; brothers-in-law: David Hugh Jackson and Toy Lee Jackson. Byron was a member of Nelson Creek Primitive Baptist Church, graduate of E.W. Grove High and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He was an avid golfer and electrician.
