Funeral service 2:00 Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Ennis officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Named as pallbearers are Patrick Lucas, Joe Cales Jr., Bill Youngbluth, Andrew Cales, Chase Lanpher, Jimmy Lanpher. Mr Cales was the son of the late Elbert Cales and Rosetta Cales. On March 2, 1946 he married Betty Rose Gaskins, who preceeded May 21, 2003. Survived by wife, Frances Carroll Cales of Jane Lew, WV; Married on August 2008; sons: Joseph (Marcia) Cales, Fairland, Indiana, David (Joy) Cales, Springville, TN; sister: Tootie (Bill) McGraw, Birmingham, AL; grandchildren: Heather (Jimmy) Lanpher, Joe (Julie) Cales, Jr., Katie (Patrick) Lucas, Lyndsey Cales, and by Twelve great-grandchildren. Preceded by one brother Olen "Yank" Cales. Mr. Cales was a WWII Veteran serving in Europe in the 36th infantry division. He was awarded the combat infantry badge, a bronze star and a purple heart. He also served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge # 108, the Shriners, and the Scottish Rite.
