Mr. Carl "Buddy" Raines, age 89 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his daughter's residence. His funeral service will be at 11:00AM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Gary Doughten of Maplewood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Puryear City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM Friday, and after 9:00AM Saturday. Pallbearers will be Mike McNutt, Dylan McNutt, Troy Bruce, Milton Peale, Bryant Peale, and Jason Raines. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Bucy and The Men's Friendship Sunday School Class. Carl T. Raines was born April 30, 1928 to the late Johnny Raines and the late Hynda McFadden Berry. On July 9, 1948, he married Beatrice Jean Hart Raines and she preceded him in death on November 16, 2016. Buddy was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Raines; a grandson, James Daniel McNutt; and a step-father, Tony Berry. Mr. Raines is survived by a daughter, Kim (Mike) McNutt of Paris, TN; Larry (Pat) Raines of Paris, TN; three grandchildren: Jason (Natalie) Raines, Dylan McNutt, and Brittany Espinosa (Aaron Carrizales); 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and special friends and caregivers: Shannon Parker and Dezra Huddleston. Mr. Raines was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church. He retired from Holley Carburetor in Paris after many years. He was a United States Veteran serving in WWII and a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge #108. SERVICES Funeral Service
