She was born in Flint, MI to the late George Craig and Daisy Ullman Craig. On August 22, 1958 she married Jim Carpenter, he preceded October 17, 1986.
Survived by daughters: Kim Carpenter, Flint, MI, Val (Scott) Crowe, Lebanon, IN, Vicki (Dan) Nolan, British Columbia, Canada; son: Jeff (Sheena) Carpenter, Paris; sisters: Norma (Dick) Stanley, Punta Gorda, FL, Pat Ray, Fort Myers, FL, Dorthy Davis, Linden, MI; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded by a brother: George Craig in 1961.
Carol was Atherton High Valedictorian, class of 1955. She attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Flint, MI and graduated in 1959. She worked as a nurse for a total of 42 years in both Michigan and Florida. She moved to Paris in 2010 to be near her son. Carol loved to cook and was an avid fisher woman. Memorials may be made to your local animal shelter or the Humane Society of your choice.
