Carol Valentine Hammons, age 86, of Paris, Tennessee passed away at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Her graveside funeral service will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, October 29, 2021 with Bro. Roger Banks to officiate, at Hillcrest Memorial Park and burial to follow the service. Named as pallbearers are Joe Underwood, Steven French, Jimmy Elkins and Shannon Elkins. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. on Friday at McEvoy prior to the graveside service at 1:30 P.M. Carol Valentine Hammons was born January 20, 1935 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Albert B. Vaalentine and the late Mamie Bell Parker Valentine. She married Terrell D. Hammons on September 2, 1955 and he preceded her in death, May 2, 1992. Carol is survived by her daughter, Terri Hammons of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her son, Randy (Michelle) Hammons of Arlington, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kylee Harrison, Taylor Hammons, Ashton (Shawnee) Meyer, Magdalene West, Stetson Tidwell and Finn Tidwell; great grandson, Damon Meyer; sister-in-law, Judy Valentine of New Concord, Kentucky; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Carol is also preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Hayes and Doris Wynn; and her brother, Louie Valentine. Ms. Hammons was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She worked and retired from Holley Carburetor, formerly of Paris. Carol enjoyed family gatherings, bowling, fishing and playing corn hole.
