Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Stephens, Sulphur Well Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are: John P. Oliver, Joe Oliver, Wendall Flanagan, Bobby Barton, Gene Bedwell and Rick Owens. Visitation 3:00 - 7:00 Tuesday and after 11:00 AM Wednesday until service time. Mrs. Oliver was born October 21, 1917 in Henry County, TN to the late V.O. and Shellie Sturdivant Barton. She married Lemuel D. Oliver August 14, 1934, he preceded February 17, 1971. Survived by daughter: Kay (Don) Thompson, Nashville, TN; sons: Terry (Patsy) Oliver and Jimmy (Jeanie) Oliver, both of Paris, TN; sisters-in-law: Dot Barton and Elizabeth Oliver both of Paris, TN; grandchildren: Donna (Eddie) Thompson, Christie (Michael) Gamlin, Justin (Ginger) Oliver, Jeff (Kelly) Thompson, Jason (Marie-Josee) Thompson and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded by sisters: Lerlie Bedwell and Thelma McDaniel; brothers: Louie and Buford Barton. Caroline was a member of the Jones Chapel Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Salant & Salant, Holley Carburetor Plant and Grove School Cafeteria.
