Carolyn Ann Hardin Veltman

Carolyn Veltman, age 92, of Springville, TN, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Pastor Melissa Worthey of the First Presbyterian Church to officiate. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow the service in Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs.Veltman is planned after 10 A.M. on Saturday, October 10th until the time of service.

Carolyn Ann Hardin Veltman was born on January 25, 1934, to the late William H. and Una Long Hardin. She married Keith Veltman, who survives in Springville, on November 5, 1950, in Corinth, MS. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Olivier Veltman of Springville; sons, Henry Keith Veltman of Magnolia, TX and Keith Veltman, Jr. of Sunshine, LA; sisters, Renee` Atkins of Martin, TN and Janet Woods of Kansas; brother, Daniel “Ricky” Hardin of Georgia; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Veltman is preceded in death by her son, Mark A. Veltman; sisters, Jackie Melton and Jonell Norwood; and by brother, William “Don” Hardin.

Carolyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paris. She lived in Paris and graduated from E.W. Grove High School in 1952, where she played on the basketball team. Carolyn and Keith moved to New Orleans in 1957, where she was a devoted and caring mother to her four children and also cared for several foster children through her many years there. She and Keith moved back to their home of Paris, TN in 1991, building a home on West Antioch Harbor Road and enjoying many years of retirement with visits from family and friends. Carolyn was the pillar of her family and always welcomed others with open arms. She prepared many meals, hosted many get-togethers and looked upon her children with great pride and love. Carolyn will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
