Mrs. Carolyn Prater Cooper, age 77, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her residence. A private family funeral service and visitation will be held at McEvoy Funeral Home. Carolyn Jean Prater Cooper was born June 30, 1944 in Olive Hill, Tennessee to the late J.D. Prater and the late Freda Simpson Prater. She married Roger Cooper on November 7, 1975 and he survives in Paris. She is also survived by sisters, Carlene Roberts of Sharon, TN, Virgina Wardlow and Charlene Rainey, both of Kenton; brothers, Robert Simpson of Memphis and Joe Simpson of Union City; also survived by other family members and friends. Besides her parents, Carolyn is also preceded in death by sisters, Kathy Cole, Betty Brown and Barbara Dunivant and her brother, Raymond Simpson. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
