Mr. Charles Roy Carver, age 82 of Paris, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Henry County Medical Center. His graveside service will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Jones Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Randy Stephens officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home. There will be no visitation on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Chuck Carver, Jonathan Carver, Christopher Carver, Kendall Sutton, and Tony Hutcherson. Charles Roy Carver was born on August 23, 1934 in East Lynn, West Virginia to the late Steve R. Carver and the late Otha Adkins Carver. On September 15, 1956 he married June Mills Carver who survives in Paris, Tennessee. He is also survived by a son, Chuck (Kim) Carver of Paris, TN; a sister, Juanita Spurlock of Kenova, WV; three grandchildren: Jonathan Carver, Christopher (Ashley) Carver, and Shelly (Kendall) Sutton; and five great grandchildren: Cooper Carver, Caroline Carver, Madeline Carver, Noah Sutton, and Abigail Sutton. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa C. Arnold; four sisters: Emma Jean Clay, Dorothy Lawson, Evella Webb, and Hester McKean; a brother, Otis Carver; and a grandchild, Jason Arnold. Mr. Carver was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in the Korean War. He retired from TVA as a Public Safety Officer. SERVICES Graveside Service
