Funeral service 1:00PM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Wimberley of Olive Branch United Methodist Church officiating, burial will follow at Bevil Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Keith Farmer, Kevin Hutson, Brian Fletcher and Jeremy Boyd. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Thursday and after 11:00AM Friday. He was born in Henry County to the late Alvin Pleasen and Ruth Beavers Garner. On January 7, 1983 he married Barbara Sneed Garner, she survives in Paris. Survived by daughters: Jean (Joel) Taylor, Paris, Jeanna Garner, Paris; sons: Charlie Garner, Camden, Leslie Ray Garner, Paris; sister: Margie Wynn, Paris; brothers: John Garner, Paris, Tommy Garner, Paris, Leon Garner, Dresden, David (Harriet) Garner, Paris; grandchildren: Timothy Taylor, Matthew Allison, Nicholas Allison, Brandy Haddock, Dustin Haddock, Wesley Garner all from Paris and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by a sister: Martha Garner; brothers: Will Garner, Paul Garner and Truman Garner. Charles was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church. He formerly worked a Celotex and had retired from the Weakley County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator.
