Charles "Chuck" Glancey, 83, of Buchanan, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be at Edgington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Chuck was born on August 5, 1938, in Rock Island, the son of Fred and Helen (Harkert) Glancey. He married Brenda (Hall) Pearson on November 27, 1987. He worked for Farmall and then transferred to Navistar. After his retirement, he and his wife, Brenda, moved to Tennessee. Chuck was a proud veteran serving in the US Air Force. He was a member of Sulfur Well Church of Christ. Chuck was a true handyman and always enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers. He loved to go fishing, especially for walleye. Chucks favorite dog was German Shepherds and ever since his discharge from the military hes always had one.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Brenda Glancey, Buchanan, TN; daughters, Debra Glancey, Moline, Cindy Pauley, Taylor Ridge, and Becky Pearson, Moline; sons, Richard (Anastasia) Glancey, East Moline, Keith (Kay) Pearson, Taylor Ridge, Tony Pearson, Sherrard, and Steve Pearson, Aledo; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Sue) Harkert, Billings, MT; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Vinzant, Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley Curtiss and Betty Vinzant; and brother, Walter L. Harkert Jr.
