Funeral services for Mr. Wendell Morris, age 87, of Paris, TN, will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation for Mr. Morris will be held on Wednesday evening at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Thursday. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 58 years, Earline Capps Morris. They were married March 15, 1952. Wendell is also survived by a daughter: Angela Morris Clayton ; sons, Gary D. Morris, Paris, TN, Glenn T. ( Teresa) Morris, Bartlett, TN, and Robert C.( Lovell) King, Denver, CO, sisters, Rachel Shelton, FL, Willie Mae Lampkins, Paris, TN, Laverne (Hulon) Hopkins, Paris, TN, and Kathleen Coley, Paris, TN; brothers, Dempsey Morris, Dearborn, MI; grandchildren, Chris (Ashley) Morris, Nick (Meredith) Morris, Josh Morris, Amanda Morris, Lindsay Morris, Jenny (Jon) Thomas, Jeremy (Jane) King; great grandchildren, Jackson Morris, Olivia Morris, Jordan King, Kyle King, Samantha King, and Cooper Thomas. He is also survived by special caregiver, his niece Betty Joyce Stephenson and many other nieces, nephews. Mr. Morris is preceded by his parents, William Walter and Elsie Barnett Morris, daughter-in-law, Judy Marie Snyder Morris, son-in -law, William Larry Clayton, and niece Cheryl Ann Coley. Wendell was a member of the Como Church of Christ. He was a retired brick mason.
