Mr. Charley Cuthbertson, age 90 of Paris, TN, passed away Sunday June 5, 2016 at his residence. Funeral service 1:00PM Wednesday June 8, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Gary Collier officiating, burial will follow at MT. Zion Cemetery in Benton County, TN. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00PM Tuesday and after 11:00AM Wednesday until service time. He was born September 26, 1925 in Benton County, TN to the late Clenty and Lola Belyew Cuthbertson. On September 7, 1946 he married Sophia "Sophie" Wheatley Cuthbertson, she preceded December 1, 2007. Survived by daughters: Fran (Don) Webb, Paris, TN, Becky Cheek, Paris, TN; sons: Charlie J. (Janis) Cuthbertson, Paris, TN, Ed (Rhonda) Cuthbertson, Paris, TN; sisters: June Lassandrello, Oak Lawn, IL, sister-in-law: Billie Cuthbertson, Paris, TN; grandchildren: ten; great-grandchildren: numerous and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by brothers: Joe H. Cuthbertson, Eugene Cuthbertson and James Cuthbertson. Mr. Cuthbertson served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #1889 in Paris and was a charter member of American Legion Post #89. Charley was self-employed most of his life with his fence business.
