Funeral service 11:00AM Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Jerald Sykes officiating, burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation 3:00 - 7:00PM Monday and after 10:00AM Tuesday.
He was born in Buchanan, TN to the late Dewey and Sudie Belle McFarland Walker. On August 2, 1952 he married Lennie Lee Smith Walker, she preceded November 1, 2001.
Survived by sons: Johnny D. Walker, Nashville, Kenneth Walker, Paris; sister: Henda Maye (Leon) Peyton, Howell, MI; nephews: David Peyton, Jerry Peyton, both of Michigan and Jimmy Walker, Las Vegas, NV.
Preceded by a son: Timmy Lee Walker, in infancy, June 25, 1959; sisters: Ima Lee Walker, Birdie Walker; brothers: Leslie Walker, Franklin Walker and Doris Walker.
Mr. Walker was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart. He worked for over ten years at Holley Carburetor in Paris and several years at the Milan Arsenal. Chesley enjoyed Blue Grass and Country Music and loved to travel.
