Clarence "Clair" Muchow, age 98 of Paris, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at AHC of Paris. His body is to be cremated and his memorial service will be 10:30 AM Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church in Paris with Pastor Luther Hasz officiating. Burial will be held later at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Clarence Edward Muchow was born March 15, 1923 in Blue Hill, Nebraska to the late Henry F.W. Muchow and the late Sophia A.M.L. Blobaum Muchow. On April 16, 1944 he married Marcelyn Cramer Muchow and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2007.
Clair was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Paris where he was financial secretary. He loved to travel and do woodworking. He worked and retired from Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was an amateur radio operator since 1947 with the call letters W5POD. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed.
Clair is survived by two daughters: Sharon (Rollins) Turner of Tampa, FL and Jacque (Harold) Stricker of Cottage Grove, TN; seven grandchildren: Christopher Turner, Michael (Dahlia) Turner, Terry (Jonathon) Turner-Saltus, Jennifer (Nathan) McIntyre, Julie (Troy) Doster, Joseph (Mindy) Stricker and Samuel (Phyllis) Stricker; twenty great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Clair was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
