Claude Bedford "Buddy" Jewell, age 84, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Camden General Hospital. A private family funeral service will be live streamed on McEvoy Funeral Home's youtube.com channel at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 7, 2020 with Pastor Everette Holloway officiating. A private burial will be held at Bethesda Cemetery. Buddy Jewell was born December 27, 1935 to the late Claude Jewell and the late Inez Smith Jewell. He's been married to Ruby Jean Hammock Jewell for 69 years and she survives in Paris. Buddy is also survived by his daughter, Pam (Mark) Walters of Camden; his son, Barry (Pam) Jewell of Paris; sister, Shirley Jewell of Arkansas; brothers, Franklin, Deddrick "Peck", Ricky and Joey Jewell all of Arkansas; also six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. Besides his parents, Mr. Jewell is also preceded in death by his son, Michael Jewell and sister, Pauline Jewell. Mr. Jewell attended West Wood Pentecostal Church, formerly of Paris. He worked many years for Teague Electronics which later became Lavender Electronics. In later life he worked as a salesman for Joe Mahan Ford. Buddy loved studying his Bible, fishing and spending time with his family.
