Funeral service 12:00 P.M. Monday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Garden. Serving as pallbearers are Dale Martin, Tyler Carter, Tanner Carter, Gunner Osbron, Steve Martin, Jason Glisson and Tim Flood. Honoroary pallbearers are Billy Joe Pierce, James Martin, Quinton Martin and Eugene Nance. Visitation 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. on Monday. He was born in the 23rd District of Henry County, TN to the late Guy Clester Martin and Mary Truma Ross Martin. On July 5, 1951 he married Sara Glisson. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2006. Survived by daughter: Rhonda Whitehead, Puryear, TN and Foster Daughter: Sheila Gamble, Paris, TN; sister: Lavesta (John B.) Routon, Milan, TN; sister-in-law: Elaine Martin, Paris, TN; brother: Eddie (Pat) Martin, Springville, TN; grandchildren: Lee (Leisa) Whitehead, Jeff Whitehead and Tim Flood; great-grandchiildren: Collin Whitehead and Lane Martin Whitehead. He is also survivd by special friend Sue Owen and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded by a daughter: Debbie Martin in 1967; sister: Loretta Nance; brothers: Leon Martin and Nelon Martin. Duffy was a member of East Wood Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War. He formerly worked at Knotts Foods and retired from Tecumseh as a Security Gard. Duffy liked to play cards and was also an avid fisherman.
