Graveside service 1:00PM Friday January 17th at Maplewood Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Farmer of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Thursday. He was born in Henry County, TN to the late James A. and Lena Redden Norwood. On June 12, 1948 he married Mary Evelyn Murphy Norwood, she survives in Fort Gratiot, MI. Survived by daughters: Phyllis (Steve) Risher, Annetta Norwood, Leisa (Nat) Hunt; son: Bob (Michelle) Rasberry; sisters: Lavern Throgmorton, Paris, Frances Francisco, Warren, MI; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by five sisters: Annie Lou Muzzall, Mable Muzzall, Jewel Bomar, Sarah Alexander, Estelle Norwood; five brothers: Freeman Norwood, Carl Norwood, Lester Norwood, Douglas Norwood, Jessie Norwood in infancy. Mr. Norwood was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving as a medic and a cook. He worked as a pipefitter and retired from Chrysler. After retirement he returned to Henry County. Clyde was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, he enjoyed farming with his nephew Don Norwood and loved to cook.
