Coleene Cox Dye, age 89 of Paris, TN passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center. Her funeral service will be graveside at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23rd at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 2620 East Wood Street in Paris, with Patrick Chapman officiating. Burial will follow the service. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington Street in Paris, prior to leaving for the graveside service. Pallbearers for Mrs. Dye will be Trevor Gowen, Bradley Gowen, Dru Emerson, Rick Lyell, John Penn Ridgeway, Rick Moody, Jeff Marshall, and Matt Guinn. Coleene Cox Dye was born February 3, 1934, in Tippah County, MS to the late Clarence Eppie Cox and the late Flora Mae Mauney Cox. On September 28, 1956, she married Donald Ray Dye, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1998. Coleene is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Gowen of Bluffton, SC; son Brad Dye of Paris, TN; five grandchildren: Jamie (Dru) Emerson, Ivey Dye, Julia Dye, Trevor Gowen, and Bradley Gowen; six great-grandchildren: Ava Rae Hastings, Millie Grae Brigham, Grady Mack Brigham, Kennedy Reese Duffy, Myla J. McWherter, and Brooklynn Kaylee Gowen; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Coleene was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Dye; and three sisters: Lonette Russell, Christine Chapman, and Flora Cox.
