Curtis Moore, age 74 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at his residence. His celebration of life will be 12:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. David Alan Jackson leading the family service. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday prior to the celebration of life service. Curtis Moore was born June 8, 1946 in Waterloo, Iowa to the late Clarence H. Moore and the late Lorraine Robbins Moore. On March 17, 1966 he married Mary Kathryn Lax Moore and she survives in Paris, TN. Along with his wife, Curtis is also survived by two sons: Van (Cathalina) Moore of Sevierville, TN and Charles (Haley) Moore of Kettering, OH; seven grandchildren: Michael (Sarah Beth) Moore, Colin Moore, Nathaniel Moore, Ridley Moore, Kelly Moore (Austin) Dietz, Lea Moore, and Annalyn Moore; one sister, Valorie Moore Adams (John Griffin) of Paris, TN; and two brothers: Richard (Jean) Moore of Cadiz, KY and Robert Moore of Cottontown, TN. Curtis was a member of First United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the National Guard, rising to Lieutenant. He worked at Emerson Electric from 1965 until he along with five other men were the last people to lock the door the last day it closed. He later worked at Four Seasons until he retired. He was a longtime member of the Paris Lions Club, and he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow award 2007/2008; Lion of the year 2000/2001; and the B.J. Gallamore Paragon Lion Award 2015. Special pallbearers will be his grandchildren and honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Allen, Clarence Beville, Fred Hart, and B.J. Gallamore. Memorials may be made to: Paris Lions Foundation, P.O.
