Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Collier officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are David Keel, Ron Harrison, Harold Bass, Emory Bradley, Mitch Hobby, Monte Belew. Doug Summers and Chuck Lyons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 11:00 A.M. Sunday. He was born in Henderson County, TN to the late Felix Wilburn Brewer and Eva Dennison Brewer. On May 15, 1961 he married Sarah Norton who survives in Springville, TN. Also survived by a daughter, Dawn (Dr. Bo) Richardson of Paris, TN; grandchildren Elizabeth (Eric) Gallimore of Memphis, TN; Emily Richardson of Washington, DC; Rob Richardson of Memphis, TN. Dickie Brewer, a lifelong farmer, was a member of the Henry County Soil Conservation Committee for almost 28 years, serving as chairman for the past 22 years. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Henry County Farm Bureau, and was a pioneer no-till farmer. He recently served on the 4-H Camp Marketing Council for Camp Hazlewood and Urban Growth Boundary Committees in Henry County and was a member of the University of Tennessee Extension Advisory Council as one of the West Tennessee representatives. He was Henry County Conservationist of the Year in 1985. He retired from the Board of Directors of Security Bank and Trust in 2008 after 20 years of service. Dickie was a Baptist by faith.
