There will be a memorial service for Dale at 8:00 PM Friday at the lake near the residence, 130 Dock Road, Buchanan. Friends and family will gather at the residence after 6:00 PM Friday. He was the son of Henry "Hank" Hemminger, preceded and Donna Adams Hemminger Luck of Cherokee Village, AR. He married Beverly Griffin Hemminger July 23, 1995, she survives in Buchanan, TN. Survived by daughter: Amy Shroats, Thomasville, GA; step-daughter: Billie Freeland, Paris, TN; son: Chad Shroats, Thomasville, GA; step-son: Stan Cannon, Tanner, AL; one sister and one brother; grandchildren: Josh Callison, Courtney Shroats, Sydney Cannon, Bryce Shroats, Rachel Cannon, Rebekah Cannon and Carissa Rentz. Dale was born in Gary, Indiana and was employed with American Commercial Lines in river transportation as a deck hand.
